Job Title: Cyber Security Architect

Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline

Duration: Initial 12 months with 2 x 12-month extensions

Description:

Our client is seeking experienced Cyber Security Architects to support their cyber security team within the Chief Information Officer Division. The successful candidates will deliver security architectural design review services to various stakeholders and support the implementation of secure systems in both on-premises and cloud environments. This role requires at least 5 years of current experience in security architecture, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to advise and collaborate across technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and provide constructive advice on architectural designs from a cyber security perspective
  • Lead the resolution of cyber security concerns in design authorities
  • Produce quality cyber security documentation and commentary
  • Communicate security concepts and controls to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Provide security advice to stakeholders, team members, and executives
  • Take direction from the ITSA and represent them as needed
  • Facilitate and negotiate discussions to reach an agreeable decision

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a security architect/security specialist
  • Strong experience in both on-premises and cloud security architecture (Azure, Office 365)
  • Experience in Microsoft technologies and large/complex ICT environments
  • Extensive knowledge of ISM, PSPF, and IRAP processes
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work as part of an agile team
  • Demonstrated initiative and sound judgment

Essential Criteria:

  • Extensive knowledge of Australian Government Policies and frameworks relating to Government Services
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and demonstrate system features to stakeholders, team members and Executive
  • Facilitate and negotiate discussions to an agreeable decision
  • 5 years’ experience as a security architect/security specialist
  • Extensive experience in ISM, PSPF and the IRAP process
  • Experience working in large/complex ICT environments with a focus on Microsoft technologies
  • Demonstrated security relevant experience in Azure cloud services and Office-365 including Azure-AD, OMS, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
