Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline

Duration: Initial 12 months with 2 x 12-month extensions

Description:

Our client is seeking three experienced and business-focused Enterprise Architects to join their Enterprise Architecture team. This team is responsible for developing and supporting a Digital Enabling Architecture Practice. You will contribute to the strategic architectural direction, delivering enterprise solutions aligned with program goals and government frameworks. This role requires strong communication, leadership, and a deep understanding of multiple architecture domains.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead one or more Enterprise Architecture domains

  • Develop and maintain reference architectures, high-level designs, principles, and guardrails

  • Collaborate on current and future state architectures, strategies, and roadmaps

  • Provide documented and timely advice on complex digital architecture designs

  • Analyse business needs and systems to define future state architectures

  • Promote collaboration within the architecture community

  • Present to governance forums and stakeholders

  • Identify duplicated functions across initiatives

  • Develop evidence-based costing proposals

  • Support the Chief Enterprise Architect in maturing the architecture practice

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in relevant architecture domains

  • Ability to develop strategic architecture documentation

  • Strong leadership and communication capabilities

  • Experience in aligning system design with organisational standards and policies

  • Capability to facilitate collaboration and present technical ideas effectively

Essential Criteria:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in one or more Enterprise Architecture domains: Technical, Application, Solution, Business

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated stakeholder engagement including:

    • Describing options and trade-offs

    • Advising delivery teams on architecture guardrails

    • Engaging business and technical teams

  • Demonstrated experience ensuring system designs meet functional and non-functional requirements, align with strategies, standards, policies, and cybersecurity practices

  • Experience in system analysis and design, facilitating collaboration, presenting complex ideas clearly, and securing governance approval

  • Experience in developing architectural artefacts such as:

    • Current/future state diagrams

    • Roadmaps

    • Solution Architecture Designs

    • Standards, principles, and policies

    • Reference architecture

    • Value and capability maps

    • Architecture advisories and strategies
