Duration: Initial 12 months with 3 x 12-month extensions

Description:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Commvault and NetApp Infrastructure Engineer to support the deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of NetApp storage and Commvault backup systems across both on-premise and cloud environments. The role requires a proactive professional with strong expertise in backup, storage, and data recovery strategies, who can support business-as-usual and project-based initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy and maintain NetApp storage solutions across on-premises and cloud infrastructure

• Deploy and maintain Commvault backup systems including Azure and Commvault cloud

• Monitor system performance and manage thresholds, corrective actions, and reporting

• Plan and implement data retention, backup lifecycle and recovery strategies to meet RPO and RTO objectives

• Identify and manage risks related to Commvault and NetApp infrastructure

• Engage with vendors for issue resolution and ongoing support

• Support enterprise solution delivery for both projects and operational needs

• Drive continuous improvement of infrastructure-related processes and practices

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a senior storage engineer/administrator

• Experience in both traditional and cloud-based infrastructure

• Strong technical expertise in NetApp and Commvault technologies

• Working knowledge of iSCSI, NFS, and CIFS protocols

• Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment

Key Capabilities:

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work autonomously and in a team setting

• Experience with scripting tools and performance reporting

• Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux server environments and virtual platforms

Essential Criteria:

• 5+ years’ experience as a senior storage engineer/administrator working with traditional and cloud-based systems

• Certification in NetApp or Commvault would be highly desirable

• Expert knowledge in NetApp storage technologies

• Expert knowledge in Commvault backup technologies

• Expert knowledge in Commvault cloud technologies

• In depth working knowledge of the ISCI, NFS and CIFS Protocols

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience with a variety of concepts, practices and procedures related to Cloud Based Storage Technologies—specifically Microsoft and Commvault

• Experience with using scripting tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics and prepare reports

• Knowledge of Linux and/or Windows server administration and Virtual platforms

• Strong written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
