Job Title: Multiple Automation Tester (APS 6)

Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline

Duration: Initial 12 months with 2 x 12-month extensions

Working arrangements: Onsite. Remote working arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis in consultation with the supervising manager, subject to business needs.

Description:

Our client is seeking experienced Automation Testers to support the delivery of ICT projects. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability and accessibility of digital solutions within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage test plans and strategies using Azure DevOps
  • Write, review and execute test cases for web-based applications
  • Prioritise testing activities and test execution effectively
  • Analyse specifications, user stories and requirements to develop test cases and plans
  • Identify, log and track defects using Azure DevOps and other tools
  • Provide input into testing strategies and support automation testing practices
  • Test digital solutions for compliance with WCAG accessibility standards
  • Lead and engage business stakeholders throughout User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes
  • Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams using Agile and traditional delivery approaches
  • Perform additional duties as required

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in automation testing and software testing practices
  • Strong experience developing and executing test plans and test cases
  • Familiarity with testing tools and environments, including Azure DevOps
  • Understanding of accessibility testing requirements
  • Ability to work effectively in Agile environments

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience and expertise in automation testing, and well-developed software testing skills and demonstrated experience in application/system tester roles
  • Expertise in developing test artefacts, including writing, reviewing and executing complex test plans and cases and developing test strategies
  • Ability to collaborate and work productively within a cross functional team of Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, Application developers, Web Developers and Subject Matter Experts
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, agile, environment with geographically dispersed teams
  • A thorough knowledge or understanding in testing digital solutions for Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) conformance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to engage successfully with non-technical stakeholders

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience developing test plans/cases for custom applications, including the Azure and Microsoft suite of products and services
  • Experience tracking and managing test plans and test cases through Azure DevOps
  • Experience guiding User Acceptance Testing activities
