Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support the delivery of complex ICT initiatives. The successful candidate will work across high-priority projects, engaging with business and technical stakeholders to analyse business processes, gather and document requirements, facilitate workshops, and develop solution blueprints that support future business capabilities.

This role requires a highly capable business analyst with experience working across complex delivery environments and multiple software delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic planning, mapping and modelling development.
  • Lead a gap analysis to determine whether existing capabilities can meet future business requirements.
  • Develop solution blueprints for future business capabilities.
  • Identify and communicate business needs across enterprise, program, operational and project stakeholders.
  • Work with business stakeholders to prioritise business requirements.
  • Work on highly complex projects.
  • Manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Present business information to agreed standards to support solution design and application support.
  • Develop innovative solutions in consultation with business and ICT stakeholders.
  • Develop effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Work across teams and provide leadership where required.
  • Organise, facilitate and co-facilitate business analysis and requirements workshops.
  • Define and document business processes and practices.
  • Facilitate stakeholder agreement and sign-off of business documentation.
  • Produce deliverables including:
    • Business Specifications
    • Functional Specifications
    • Defect Resolution Specifications
    • Technical Specifications
    • Risk Management Plans
    • Requirements Management Plans
    • Use Case Models and Use Case Specifications
    • High-level and detailed Business Requirements Documents
  • Transfer skills and knowledge to client personnel and maintain documentation in accordance with recordkeeping requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum three years' experience providing business analysis capability.
  • Experience working in mixed software delivery methodologies, including Waterfall, SAFe and Hybrid.
  • Strong understanding of business value related to features and functions.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate business analysis and requirements gathering workshops.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering Business Analysis artefacts, including functional and non-functional requirements and process flow diagrams.
  • Ability to work across complex ICT projects with multiple stakeholders.

Essential Criteria

  • At least three (3) years of work experience providing business analysis capability.
  • Proven experience working in mixed software delivery methodologies (e.g. waterfall, SAFe, hybrid).
  • High level understanding of business value related to features and functions.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate business analysis and requirements gathering workshops.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering Business Analysis artefacts, such as functional and non-functional requirements and process flow diagrams.

Desirable Criteria

  • Demonstrated business analysis experience working in large organisation similar to the department.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills.
