Duration: Initial 12 months with 24-month extension

Location of work: ACT, VIC or SA (Canberra preferred)

Working arrangements: Hybrid. Successful candidates are expected to work onsite for the first six weeks at one of the nominated office locations. Following this, a hybrid working arrangement may be considered. Working from home arrangements typically require a minimum of three days per week onsite.

Description:

Our client is seeking experienced Principal Archer Software Engineers to support and enhance an existing Archer IRM platform while delivering new capabilities. The successful candidates will work within an agile project team to design, develop, configure and maintain Archer IRM solutions, supporting business requirements through high-quality software engineering and system integration.

The role involves solution design, application development, testing, production support and ongoing platform enhancements while working closely with stakeholders throughout the software delivery lifecycle.


Responsibilities:

  • Work within an existing project team following an agile delivery model using JIRA for backlog management.
  • Elicit, refine and document user requirements into user stories.
  • Prepare functional solution design documentation to support development sprints.
  • Contribute to sprint planning activities.
  • Configure Archer IRM solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Complete system integrations between Archer IRM and existing platforms.
  • Contribute to test planning and undertake unit testing.
  • Showcase sprint outcomes to business stakeholders.
  • Support production releases outside core business hours.
  • Design and develop new Archer IRM solutions.
  • Enhance existing solutions.
  • Perform patching, maintenance and defect remediation.
  • Undertake testing activities.

Requirements:

  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience with the core features of the Archer IRM platform.
  • Experience with Archer IRM application installation, foundational setup and configuration.
  • Experience configuring diverse Archer IRM use cases.
  • Hands-on experience building applications, workflows, reports and dashboards within Archer IRM.
  • Experience managing authentication, authorisation, user access and permissions within Archer IRM.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining Archer Advanced Workflows.
  • Ability to build and manage LDAP integrations.
  • Experience with manual data ingestion, Archer IRM Data Feeds and Data Publication Services.
  • Experience reconciling and performance tuning large datasets.
  • Experience building and managing integrations using Archer IRM APIs and REST APIs.
  • Experience with Archer IRM workload management, load balancing, monitoring, troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
    • Information Security Manual (ISM)
    • Essential Eight Strategies
    • National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)

  • Demonstrated application of cyber security frameworks.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Understanding and knowledge of Elastic and Hadoop systems.
  • Archer IRM certification is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Auth broker technology.
  • Knowledge of Jira.
