Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior SASE Business Systems Analyst to provide senior business analysis and stakeholder engagement capability for a secure access discovery and procurement readiness engagement.
The role will establish a clear, traceable requirements baseline that reflects organisational needs and supports a vendor-neutral future implementation procurement. This is an above-the-line advisory and discovery role and does not include detailed solution design, implementation, migration, operational transition or managed service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead structured engagement with diverse stakeholders, including business owners, researchers, staff, students, network, cyber, identity, cloud, endpoint and service operations teams.
- Work closely with the SASE Architect to map current-state access processes, user journeys, technical flows, pain points and constraints.
- Plan, facilitate and document workshops and interviews; manage challenging stakeholder discussions and turn competing needs into transparent decisions, priorities and agreed requirements.
- Elicit, analyse, prioritise and document functional requirements for a future secure access model, including access scenarios, policy needs, reporting, support and service-level expectations.
- Define non-functional requirements covering performance, availability, resilience, scalability, security, compliance, usability, accessibility, operational support and service management.
- Develop clear user journeys, process maps, use cases, user stories and requirements catalogues for staff, students, researchers, privileged users, contractors and external partners.
- Undertake and coordinate data gathering activities, including user groups, applications, access patterns, sites, service dependencies and current-state constraints.
- Translate complex technical and operational findings into concise, decision-ready briefings for executives, project governance and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop procurement-ready business and requirements artefacts, including requirements catalogues, technical schedules, evaluation criteria, acceptance conditions and vendor-response templates.
- Maintain requirements traceability and support management of scope, decisions, risks, issues, dependencies and change impacts with the Project Manager.
- Work collaboratively with an Architect or Business Analyst from another provider, the Change Manager and client teams, maintaining common artefacts, consistent messaging and an integrated delivery approach.
- Draw on provider reach-back capability where required, while remaining accountable for the quality and completeness of the role’s outputs.
Requirements:
- Significant senior-level business analysis experience across complex enterprise technology, security, infrastructure or digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication capability.
- Strong requirements elicitation, analysis and traceability capability.
- Ability to develop high-quality process maps, user journeys, use cases, user stories and requirements catalogues.

Essential Criteria:

- Outstanding stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills, including confidence working with distributed, challenging or competing stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated ability to explain technical topics in plain language, influence without formal authority, challenge assumptions constructively and build practical agreement.
- Strong requirements elicitation, analysis and traceability skills, including production of high-quality process maps, user journeys, use cases, user stories, requirements catalogues and procurement artefacts.
- Familiarity with secure access, networks, identity, cloud services, cyber security and operational support concepts sufficient to engage effectively with architects and technical specialists.
