Security Clearance: Must hold, or be able to obtain and maintain, a minimum of Baseline security clearance

Duration: Initial 6 months with 1 x 12-month extension

Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager (EL1 equivalent) to join a dynamic team delivering a high-impact, fast-paced 12-month project. This role will support work across a wide range of work health and safety (WHS) policy areas. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring stakeholder engagement, procurement, project governance, and administrative support are delivered to a high standard throughout the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead stakeholder engagement, including scheduling and coordinating meetings or events

  • Accurately record and articulate stakeholder views and project updates for senior executives

  • Manage procurement processes to engage external consultants and specialists

  • Maintain and update project documents using internal project management tools

  • Manage a risk register and escalate project risks through internal governance mechanisms

  • Provide administrative and secretariat support to a key sub-committee

  • Use Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft tools to manage project deliverables

  • Undertake additional support tasks as directed to contribute to project success

Requirements:

  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement

  • Demonstrated experience managing risk registers, timelines, and project documentation

  • Ability to quickly learn and apply internal project management tools

  • Experience in managing procurement processes

  • Capability to support governance and secretariat functions

Key Capabilities:

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and related project tools

  • Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
