Description:

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Finance Manager to provide specialist financial management services. This role supports the development of financial frameworks, budget processes, governance and assurance activities. The position requires senior-level expertise in financial and budget management, including compliance with legislative and policy frameworks, and the ability to provide strategic financial advice to executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial support activities, including budget preparation, performance monitoring and reporting
  • Coordinate financial governance requirements and promote compliance with financial management frameworks
  • Provide advice on financial and government matters using expert financial management knowledge
  • Identify and analyse financial issues to develop objective and systematic conclusions
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships and contribute positively to team outcomes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to resolve complex financial and budget issues
  • Interpret and comply with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks
  • Design and recommend solutions to financial management and budget challenges
  • Manage and prioritise workflows and resources, including preparation of work plans with measurable milestones

Requirements:

  • Proven experience delivering senior-level financial management services
  • Strong knowledge of financial governance, budgeting and assurance processes
  • Demonstrated ability to provide compliant financial advice aligned with legislation and policy
  • Experience working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders

Essential Criteria:

  • Ability to provide strategic financial advice and governance support
