Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a Software Engineering team delivering modernisation initiatives within a complex enterprise environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and setting up development tools and infrastructure, with a strong focus on continuous integration, delivery and deployment, cloud technologies, container orchestration and security. This role requires advanced proficiency in Microsoft Azure DevOps and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams while contributing to technical and strategic decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement innovative solutions to enhance the development process
  • Build and test end-to-end CI/CD pipelines
  • Monitor and optimise CI/CD pipeline performance to ensure efficiency and reliability
  • Utilise cloud technologies and container orchestration to support scalable solutions
  • Ensure systems are secure against potential threats and vulnerabilities
  • Conduct regular security assessments and implement improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align development efforts with organisational objectives
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members
  • Contribute to key technical decisions and provide solutions across multiple teams

Requirements:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Azure DevOps
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong knowledge of cloud technologies
  • Experience with container orchestration
  • Understanding of security principles within DevOps environments
  • Experience in configuration and release management
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques
  • Experience in cloud automation DevOps
