Description:

Our client is seeking an APS6 Procurement Officer to provide specialist procurement advisory and operational support within a Commonwealth environment. The successful candidate will deliver accurate and timely procurement advice to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act.

The role will work closely with business areas and decision-makers to identify procurement needs, encourage early engagement and ensure procurements deliver value for money and the proper use of resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality, accurate and timely procurement advice to stakeholders in line with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act

  • Work with business areas to identify procurement needs and encourage early engagement with decision-makers

  • Create, update and maintain procurement records in TechOne and BuyICT

  • Create, update and maintain approaches to market, panel arrangements and reporting obligations in AusTender

  • Develop and maintain internal procurement documentation that is simple, consistent and aligned with better practice

  • Work with stakeholders to ensure contracts are properly managed and reported internally and externally

  • Provide contract management and contract relationship support internally and with suppliers

  • Promote and apply organisational values and contemporary people management practices including diversity, workplace health and safety and participative management

Requirements:

  • Experience with TechOne, AusTender and BuyICT

  • Training in Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act compliance

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience with TechOne, AusTender and BuyICT

  • Training in Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act compliance

Desirable Criteria:

  • Completion of or progression towards Certificate IV or Diploma in Government Procurement and Contracting
