Description:
Our client is seeking up to two Senior Cloud Engineers to provide planning, development and implementation services in support of Azure and AWS multi-cloud services. The successful candidates will support the management and delivery of multi-cloud infrastructure solutions and collaborate across technical teams to deliver scalable, secure and optimised cloud services.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain cloud solutions for cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration and security across AWS and Azure Cloud Platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver scalable technical solutions
- Build, deploy and optimise cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Bicep, ARM templates and Azure PowerShell
- Collaborate with DevOps, Security and Development teams to enable CI/CD pipelines
- Maintain documentation of cloud architectures, processes and procedures
- Stay up to date with Azure and AWS cloud services, features and industry trends
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in an Azure, AWS or Multi-Cloud cloud engineer, solution engineering, DevOps, or similar role
- Strong hands-on experience of cloud services and architecture with at least one major cloud platform (AWS or Azure)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Bicep, ARM templates, Azure PowerShell or AWS Cloud Formation
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Azure DevOps and Git
- Solid understanding of networking concepts including VPC/VNet, subnets, firewalls and load balancing in a cloud environment
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert and/or 5+ years’ experience in a similar role

Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in an Azure, AWS or Multi-Cloud cloud engineer, solution engineering, DevOps, or similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience of cloud services and architecture with at least on major cloud platform (AWS or Azure).
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Bicep, ARM templates, Azure PowerShell or AWS Cloud Formation.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPC/VNet, subnets, firewalls, load balancing) in a cloud environment and have strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Formal training in cloud, multi-cloud, hybrid-cloud, information technology, or a related field.
- Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g. ISO 27001, ASD Essential Eight (E8), PSPF, ISM, SOC 2).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Splunk).
- High-level communications and documentation skills; and well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment, including over MS Teams.
