Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making through the analysis of complex datasets. The role involves working across multiple data sources to identify trends, improve reporting accuracy, and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders. You will play a key role in workforce planning and operational performance analysis, translating data into meaningful business recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse large and complex datasets from multiple sources
  • Identify trends, anomalies, bottlenecks and performance issues
  • Provide analysis on wait times, utilisation, staffing levels and workforce demand
  • Produce recurring and ad hoc reports for leadership
  • Build dashboards using Excel and Power BI to track KPIs
  • Translate data into clear business recommendations
  • Analyse staffing by location, discipline and craft group
  • Assess shift demand, overtime, shortages and utilisation
  • Support workforce planning decisions
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to understand business needs
  • Respond to urgent data requests in a timely manner
  • Present findings to non-technical stakeholders
  • Cleanse and reconcile inconsistent data sources
  • Improve reporting accuracy and data governance

Requirements:

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • SQL experience
  • Power BI experience
  • Data cleansing and reconciliation capability
  • Strong analytical thinking
  • Ability to clearly communicate insights
  • Experience working with workforce, rostering, healthcare or operational data
