Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making through the analysis of complex datasets. The role involves working across multiple data sources to identify trends, improve reporting accuracy, and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders. You will play a key role in workforce planning and operational performance analysis, translating data into meaningful business recommendations.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse large and complex datasets from multiple sources
- Identify trends, anomalies, bottlenecks and performance issues
- Provide analysis on wait times, utilisation, staffing levels and workforce demand
- Produce recurring and ad hoc reports for leadership
- Build dashboards using Excel and Power BI to track KPIs
- Translate data into clear business recommendations
- Analyse staffing by location, discipline and craft group
- Assess shift demand, overtime, shortages and utilisation
- Support workforce planning decisions
- Collaborate with operational leaders to understand business needs
- Respond to urgent data requests in a timely manner
- Present findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Cleanse and reconcile inconsistent data sources
- Improve reporting accuracy and data governance
Requirements:
- Advanced Excel skills
- SQL experience
- Power BI experience
- Data cleansing and reconciliation capability
- Strong analytical thinking
- Ability to clearly communicate insights
- Experience working with workforce, rostering, healthcare or operational data
