Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Product Owner to support the enhancement of business systems used by security functions both domestically and at overseas missions. The role sits within a specialised security portfolio and involves collaboration with stakeholders across internal and external groups. This is a critical position for someone with a strong background in Agile delivery and a data-driven, outcomes-focused approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for multiple projects
  • Align product roadmap with strategic goals through stakeholder collaboration
  • Gather and prioritise requirements into a clear product backlog
  • Refine backlog based on feedback and emerging needs
  • Develop detailed product specifications for delivery teams
  • Oversee product development and report on progress
  • Collaborate with IT partners to ensure clarity in requirements and smooth delivery
  • Manage release priorities and support delivery of new functionality
  • Track performance and use insights for product improvement
  • Address and mitigate roadblocks to delivery
  • Contribute to organisational change initiatives tied to product delivery
  • Act as product ambassador to share knowledge and answer queries

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Product Owner or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Agile principles and practices
  • Understanding of business value in product features
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting stakeholder needs
  • Data-driven approach with solid analytical skills
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience operating in complex environments
