Description:

Our client is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Software Developer to support the development, configuration, and maintenance of their Enterprise Service Management and Workflow Automation Platform. This role involves working closely with the Technical Lead to deliver solutions for the upcoming financial year's work plan, while also supporting platform functionality and guiding platform growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, configure, and customise the ServiceNow platform based on business requirements
  • Collaborate with teams to identify and prioritise needs
  • Assess requirements and leverage ServiceNow’s existing capabilities before considering custom builds
  • Write and maintain efficient JavaScript code
  • Perform code reviews and quality checks
  • Develop scoped applications, flows, scripts, and UI elements
  • Provide expert guidance on platform development
  • Deliver presentations and demonstrations for stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Produce and execute test cases
  • Document functionality and maintain development records
  • Stay updated on emerging ServiceNow trends
  • Conduct internal knowledge transfers

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in ServiceNow development
  • ServiceNow CSA (Certified Systems Administrator)
  • Skilled in scripting, workflows, and integrations
  • Experience with out-of-the-box ServiceNow configuration
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proven capability to work both independently and in team environments

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in ServiceNow development
  • Minimum ServiceNow CSA (Certified Systems Administrator)
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow development, such as scripting, workflows, and integrations
  • Proficiency and demonstrated experience with ServiceNow out-of-the-box application configuration
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities, including the ability to develop innovative solutions and form sound judgments
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders both verbally and in writing, and a proven capability to work independently as well as collaboratively

Desirable Criteria:

  • ServiceNow CIS (Certified Implementation Specialist) or greater
  • Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall
  • Familiarity and/or training with IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) processes
  • Familiarity, experience and/or training with ServiceNow Procurement related applications and/or development of Procurement workflow
