Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 (minimum NV1 security clearance required)
Duration: Initial 12 months with 2 x 12-month extensions

Working arrangements: Full-time, 5 days per week onsite in Canberra. Interstate and remote working arrangements will not be considered.

Description:
Our client is seeking multiple Solution Architects to design, coordinate and implement end-to-end technology solutions that support business outcomes. The successful candidates will develop scalable, secure and efficient solution architectures, produce high-quality design documentation and provide architectural assurance across a range of technology initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable, efficient, secure and cost-effective technical solutions.
- Research and select appropriate technologies, platforms and tools.
- Define interfaces and data flows between systems and third-party services.
- Produce technical documentation, architectural diagrams and solution specifications.
- Create reference architectures, including current and target state architectures, capability models and roadmaps.
- Coordinate implementation activities and resolve technical challenges.
- Produce architecture and design documentation, including high-level designs, detailed designs, solution overviews, conceptual architecture documents, product assessments and technical procurement reviews.
- Provide feedback on architectural reference material, design guidance and non-functional requirements.
- Participate in architecture governance forums and promote engagement with stakeholders.
- Ensure solution designs are peer reviewed and broadly consulted prior to approval.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience within the ICT industry.
- Minimum 2 years' experience producing solution architecture/system design documentation.
- TOGAF or equivalent industry certification (or the ability to obtain one).
- Ability to demonstrate relevant technology certifications and/or study.
- Experience working on secure government systems.
- Experience working in complex ICT environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Minimum NV1 security clearance.

Essential Criteria:
- Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years working within the ICT industry.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Minimum NV1 security clearance.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working in complex global ICT environments.
- Experience applying Information Security Manual (ISM) and Essential 8 controls through pragmatic design options.
- Experience with cloud computing and complex connectivity and integration patterns.
- Experience with a diverse range of technologies and mix of on site, private cloud, and SaaS technology, and the secure integration of these.
