Description:
Our client is seeking an Associate Customer Support Officer to support certification processes for domestic seafarers. The successful candidate will work closely with the Certification Officer – Seafarer and key stakeholders, including industry groups and other internal divisions. This role plays a vital part in the administration of certification in accordance with Marine Order 505 and in providing clear and timely support to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:

Enter and maintain accurate data in customer records systems for domestic (near coastal) applications

Lodge, assess, and process certification applications

Verify certificates of competency issued domestically and internationally
-
Interpret and apply legislative instruments, procedures, and qualification instructions
-
Provide verbal and written support to stakeholders to promote compliance and understanding

Identify and implement process improvements and contribute to change management

Assist Seafarer Certification Services (SCS) teams across regional offices as required

Participate actively in team meetings and organisational initiatives

Uphold organisational values and code of conduct
Requirements:

Experience using Microsoft Office suite

Strong commitment to delivering quality outcomes on schedule

Familiarity with computerised records management systems (preferably Content Manager)

Proven administrative experience and/or relevant qualifications

Strong numerical, written, and verbal communication skills

Ability to explain complex information to a diverse audience
